Key Responsibilities

As a Test Analyst at Cognizant, you will play a central role in delivering reliable software and hardware products. Your day-to-day duties will involve:

  • Test Strategy & Leadership: Design and own comprehensive testing strategies for firmware and WiFi features. Guide and mentor junior embedded engineers and QA testers to ensure standards are met.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with hardware engineering, firmware developers, cloud engineers, mobile app teams, and product managers to catch issues early in the development lifecycle.
  • Release Management: Head test planning, effort estimation, risk analysis, and defect triage meetings across concurrent product releases.
  • Firmware & Wireless Testing: Plan and execute end-to-end functional, integration, regression, and system tests. Validate next-gen WiFi standards including WiFi 5, WiFi 6, and WiFi 7.
  • Network Switch Configuration: Validate complex WiFi features such as RADIUS, GRE tunnel sizing, authentication sessions, AAA, load balancing, Quality of Service (QoS), data center mapping, failovers, and SCPS adaptation.
  • Automation & Tooling: Write Python automation scripts and integrate test suites into Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines. Work with specialized WiFi testing chambers and protocol analyzers like Wireshark.
  • Quality Metrics Tracking: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) like defect leakage rates, test pass percentages, and overall system stability metrics.

Eligibility Criteria & Required Skills
