Job Description & Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant in the Valuation and Analytics Advisory group, you will act as a bridge between technical data science and financial audit functions. Your daily work will focus on understanding how client companies use modern AI tools, assessing whether those tools produce accurate outputs, and identifying potential risks in client systems.

1. AI Risk, Governance & Controls Assessment

  • Support engagement teams in identifying and mapping how client entities implement AI across financial reporting processes and business operations (including automated workflows, intelligent agents, and agentic systems).
  • Assist senior team members in evaluating AI model complexity, reliability, and accuracy using statistical and quantitative evaluation metrics.
  • Monitor model performance issues such as data drift, concept drift, and year-over-year variation in model predictions.
  • Help evaluate AI governance frameworks against global risk management standards like NIST AI Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ISO/IEC 42001.
  • Help prepare maturity scorecards, structured assessment reports, and recommendation summaries for executive stakeholders.

2. Audit Response & Controls Testing

  • Evaluate the balance between automated decisions and human oversight (human-in-the-loop controls, KPI monitoring routines, and exception handling).
  • Assist in designing audit plans to address risks connected to AI algorithms, model training sets, and data pipeline integrity.
  • Support procedures around financial accounting estimates created by Machine Learning models, automated journal entries, and AI-based account reconciliations.

3. Team Collaboration & Client Communication

  • Engage in day-to-day coordination with client technical and operational teams, including IT managers, risk officers, and process owners.
  • Prepare structured slide decks, status trackers, and supporting technical documents for client updates.
  • Explain complex machine learning concepts to non-technical client teams in simple, clear language.
  • Keep track of updates in AI regulations, new technologies, and contribute to internal knowledge banks.

Candidates must meet the following baseline requirements to be considered for this opening:

  • Work Experience: 0 to 1 year of total work experience. Freshers with strong project backgrounds or internship experience are welcome to apply.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field.
  • Shift Commitment: Must be comfortable working in regular 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM shift hours. Flexibility to support night shifts during peak audit season (January and February) is mandatory.
  • Contract Duration: Willingness to commit to a 6-month Fixed Term Hire engagement in Bangalore or Gurugram.
