The company works with leading global technology brands, providing end-to-end chip design verification and validation solutions. The engineering leadership team at Edveon brings extensive hands-on experience in complex integrated circuit (IC) designs and system-on-chip (SoC) verification environments.

By joining Edveon, fresh graduates get the rare chance to learn directly from seasoned chip design professionals. The company focuses heavily on nurturing fresh engineering talent through practical project work, mentorship, and structured training programs, preparing them for long-term careers in the semiconductor market.

Detailed Job Description & Role Responsibilities

As a Design Verification Trainee, you will undergo an intensive learning program designed to equip you with real-world verification methodologies. Semiconductor design verification is a crucial stage in chip production—it ensures that microchips work flawlessly before mass fabrication, saving millions of dollars in potential redesign costs.

During the training phase delivered via EdvLearn and Edveon's core engineering team, you will learn and work on:

  • Digital Design & Verification: Understanding logic gates, sequential circuits, flip-flops, state machines, and verification concepts.
  • SystemVerilog: Building robust testbenches, writing test cases, and implementing coverage-driven verification strategies.
  • UVM (Universal Verification Methodology) Basics: Understanding modular, reusable verification frameworks used in top semiconductor companies worldwide.
  • Analog Fundamentals: Getting familiar with basic mixed-signal interfaces and circuit behaviors.
  • Problem Solving & Debugging: Analyzing design logs, finding edge bugs in digital models, and working alongside senior verification engineers.

Eligibility Criteria

Edveon has opened this role exclusively for engineering graduates who meet the following academic criteria:

  • Undergraduate Degrees (B.E. / B.Tech): Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), or Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI & DS).
  • Postgraduate Degrees (M.E. / M.Tech): Specializations in VLSI, Embedded Systems, or Power Electronics.
  • Graduation Years: Only 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 batch candidates are eligible.
  • Freshers & Early Career: Candidates with 0 to 1 years of total experience can apply.

Skills & Competencies Required

Instead of demanding heavy advanced knowledge from day one, Edveon looks for strong foundational capabilities that enable fast learning:

  • Solid grasp of Digital Electronics concepts (logic design, timing, state machines, combinational circuits).
  • Basics of at least one programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Strong logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Genuine curiosity and interest in microelectronics, VLSI, and chip architecture.
  • Good communication skills and an eager mindset to persist through complex engineering problems.

Selection Process Workflow

The selection process at Edveon is structured carefully to shortlist candidates based on pure merit and logical ability. Here is how the step-by-step hiring drive works:

  1. Online Application: Submit your details and resume via the official link.
  2. Eligibility Screening: Applications are reviewed against criteria such as degree and graduation year.
  3. Written Test: Covers General Aptitude/Logical Reasoning, Digital Electronics fundamentals, and basic C/C++/Python programming.
  4. Technical Assessment & Interview: Evaluation of technical core fundamentals and analytical thinking by technical experts.
  5. Structured Training: Shortlisted candidates undergo paid, structured training covering SystemVerilog and UVM basics.
  6. Final Assessment & Full-Time Hire: On successfully clearing the training evaluations, candidates transition into full-time employee roles.

Important Guidelines for Applicants

  • No direct walk-ins are permitted. You must apply through the portal.
  • Candidates who appeared for an interview with Edveon Technologies in the past 3 months are not eligible.
  • Edveon provides daily meals and transport facilities to trainees at their Chennai campus.
