Job Profile & Work Responsibilities
As an Application Engineering Intern, you will focus on developing, deploying, and optimizing Google's internal business applications. These systems keep Google's global operations running smoothly and efficiently. You will collaborate closely with software engineers, technical program managers, and business analysts.
- Build high quality internal tools with clean front-end interfaces (web and mobile) and scalable back-end services.
- Write modular, testable, and maintainable code by following industry best practices for technical design and code execution.
- Help internal partners solve daily operational challenges by designing innovative automated solutions.
- Integrate custom code with third-party enterprise tools and existing Google infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and debug critical internal workflow tools.
Eligibility Criteria & Minimum Qualifications
To qualify for this internship role, applicants must meet the following mandatory criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical stream.
- Expected graduation year must strictly be 2028.
- Available for a full-time 10 to 12-week internship commitment starting in Summer 2027 (May/June onwards).
- Must be residing in India for the entire duration of the internship.
- Fluent communication skills in English to actively participate in global technical discussions.
- Demonstrated experience writing code in at least one general-purpose programming language.
